Ok, so Spring Break was amazing. There was a long list of firsts for all involved. The sun rocked my world, although I am in a peeling stage right now, but it was super to escape everything for a week and just bake and drink and eat. And mesh with natives who yell at Shana in a club for not dancing. And strange Swedish men who dance like they're on E and like rubbing butts. Overall, lots of fun, made me kind of nostalgic about my last spring break trip there, and while the two vacations couldn't have been more different, they were both useful in their own way. This time, I drove for the first time, Shana went topless in the ocean for the first time, and I'm sure Katie did something for the first time. Overall, an amazing vacation.

Which made coming home that much shittier. Not only was it about 40 degrees colder (which makes me wonder why I choose to live in NYC at all...) but I came into some unfortunate news as well. One of the little old ladies at work who I really like died on Tuesday, so that sucked. Also, something happened that makes me feel completely out of control and vulnerable, and we all know how used to those feelings I am...

So, I will try not to be depressed like I was yesterday simply by drinking rum and wearing sarongs when I'm not topless marching around the room. It's a good way to be.

And here is this:

You Should Get a MBA (Masters of Business Administration)

You're a self starter with a drive for success.
You'd make a great entrepreneur.

Your Career Type: Enterprising

You are engertic, ambitious, and sociable.
Your talents lie in politics, leading people, and selling things or ideas.

You would make an excellent:

Auctioneer - Bank President - Camp Director
City Manager - Judge - Lawyer
Recreation Leader - Real Estate Agent - Sales Person
School Principal - Travel Agent - TV Newscaster

The worst career options for your are investigative careers, like mathematician or architect.

And, an entry to remind myself where I am...

Ah yes, the night before the night before I embark on my spring break, the glorious SXM trip, where I return to the island which has been absent from my life for way too long. And holy shit do I need a vacation! Not a "I wake up at 7 am to be first in line to ride Tower of Terror" vacation, but an "I wake up around 11, still drunk, then ramble over to the beach, pass out, and order more drinks, then repeat" vacation. Although, last place we went on spring break, God decided to destroy it about 4 months later, so everyone please pray for the island of St. Martin!

When we get back, alot of stuff will happen, but I actually don't really want to look at all of that now. Although I will most def be getting a puppy. A cute one from Connecticut so it doesn't have AIDS like the NYC dogs who have been abandoned. And then I could be one of those people I hate who walk their dogs and find it neccessary to tell their life story to the owner of the dog who is currently humping their dog. Amazing, these people you find in NYC.

In other news, I bought Walk the Line and sat down and watched it, and now I am smitten with Reese Witherspoon, and cannot stop listening to the soundtrack. Like, I listen to it when I'm getting ready, then I listen to it in the office, where I downloaded it, and then I come home and sing it with Minha. That obsessed. I also bought RENT, so I will probably go and watch Sante Fe and I'll Cover You until I die. Which will be shortly after I finish my laundry.

Peace.

I had a really great weekend, which included becoming smitten with a certain artist, getting presents, and attending a wildly successful event which I planned. And it was all free! Life is good.

SXM in about 2 weeks!

Senior Week and graduation are approaching at the speed of sound, and if one more person asks me what I'm doing with myself next year I will probably lose it on them. I don't know! I'm being a 21 year old college graduate! And living somewhere with someone. Most likely. And working somewhere. Doing something. That is really all the detail I have! Right now, I'm just enjoying doing as little as possible. And by right now, I mean today. Because I still have Senior Week and classes and work to take over my life. But today, I will hang out and read and be a homebody. Because it is really fun!

I should have gone to sleep about 35 hours ago. Instead, I have been browsing my Favorites section on my AOL (which I heven't used in about 2-3 years), and what do I find? My link to my easyjournal from freshman-sophomore years. I was SO goddamn introspective! It goes to show what a college student can do when they are not involved in anything, including school, and have the bulk of their brainpower to engage in lengthy, deep, thoroughly amusing journal entries. I was reading a couple of them, and I guess the journal doe sits job, because I really got a good feel of where I was at. My freshmen year ones are great, mostly because I did them drunk right after I got home from drinking, so I can actually see what I did on nights that I no longer remember. INCREDIBLE! So, that's what I got for you guys these days.  Good memories that I don't have to worry about not being in my head anymore.  I feel so refreshed.

And now, bed so I can combat these hurricane-force winds we seem to be having all over the place!

Oh, and just in case you want to relive the past alongside me:

Trapped in the Closet. [Jan. 21st, 2006|01:27 am]

now, if there is going to be one thing that you decide to do before you die, it should probably be to download South Park's latest episode, entitled, "Trapped in the Closet". Now, as you would expect, it features your favorite pee-drinker and mine, Mr. R. Kelly. It is also all about Scientology and Tom Cruise. He has hinted at plans to sue the creators. Seriously. So, if you can't find it, come on over, because I have it, and you need to see it if you enjoy a good laugh and a good think.

Sad that that prompted me to post.

(otherwise, school, USG, Senior Week, SABC, and work).

Like, come the fuck on!

GENERAL UPDATE TIME!

The semester's end was glorious, Christmas was a drunken blur, New Year's was more fun than expected, I have been working my ass off, my computer bit the big one and I need to buy a new one... that basically brings us up to date...

Anyway, home has been a goddamn blast, and I haven't even been here for that long! Seeing the parents is cool for while, (my Dad is actually alive and kicking after his "experimental" heart surgery!), malling it up with Mom and Magina, at different times, is awesome! I love malls! Love them! I got a cute pair of shoes today, which is great...

I can basically sum up this break in a couple of words, and that would be "blast from the past". I can't remember the last time I was at a good house party, and got so drunk playing Fuck the Dealer that I passed out on a chair. Come on now. Also, hanging out with the NOR crew is always an experiance... a good one. There is something about being home with these people that really grounds you... no bullshit. These people remember you from before you even knew what being cool was. These are the boys who threw building blocks at you in an attempt to flirt in kindergarten. It's cool to see who your friends really are after four years. I've gotten into this whole retrospective thing lately, and it is blowing my mind. It's so interesting to see what paths everyone has chosen (if any at all!).

In a good place right now... so ready to graduate, yet not at all... this semester promises to be a challenging one, what with USG and Senior Week in one little convenient package.

Going to DIsney to relax for some days should be a nice send off into last semester...
